Persian New Year Celebration

Join the Andisheh Center for a musical and dance performance to celebrate Norouz, the Iranian/Persian New Year.

Norouz (literally: new day) is the day of the vernal equinox and coincides with the rebirth of planet earth and rejuvenation of mother nature. The New Year celebration has deep roots in Persian culture, history and heritage and has been going on for more than 3,000 years. Several cities across the U.S. have Norouz proclamations and in Portland, several Norouz celebrations take place.
