With the help and support of the Park Bureau and key Facility Partners, the Square completed a list of needed repairs this month to prepare the Square for summer:
- Broken and damaged bricks on the floor of the Square were replaced. To find your brick click here.
- The Fountain was turned on and work to further waterproof the fountain’s trough, that surrounds the back patio of Starbucks, continued towards its June completion
- 22 Flower baskets, grown by Trapold Greenhouses, have been hung throughout the pergola
- Missing and damaged planter flowers and trees have been replaced by Portland Parks’ Forestry Division
- The Weather Machine’s quirky metal Dragon symbol, an indication of pending heavy rain or storms, was repaired by Luke Grimm a family-member of the machine’s original designers Omen Design Group, Inc.
- TriMet put the finishing touches on their newly expanded Customer Service Center
- Interior Lobby walls have been painted and heavily trafficked floors have been refinished with the help of R&H Construction
- The Square also opened an ‘on-the ground’ Event Production Office to welcome event clients and partners to ease event planning and accessibility
