Support the Square’s Artist Fund with the purchase of a named brick.
The Square was host to 1,155 artists through 2019. This array of artists included musicians, singers, performance artists and makers. Many of these artists led community sing-a-longs, designed art installations, brought interactive technology to life and helped to create hundreds of days of free community programming in our City’s Living Room.
“My experience making art in the Square has been amazing and joyful and full of so many awesome interactions with such a wonderful unique diverse collection of human beings! I think what I love the most about making and sharing art with people in the Square is the fact that it really is the living room of our city where all people can hang out in the collective space to share stories and create new experiences together.”
– Larry Yes, Artist, Songwriter and Musician who focuses on positivity, humor and heartfelt emotion
This year, in honor of the Square’s 35th anniversary, Larry Yes paid homage to the parking lot that once resided where the Square lives today with a live art installation that transformed a 1979 Anniversary Edition Cadillac de Ville into a piece of “positive cosmic folk art” during this year’s Festival of Flowers.
From now until December 20th, your purchase of a named brick will help keep the arts alive in our City’s Living Room. All proceeds from the first 500 personalized bricks sold this upcoming holiday season will directly support diverse, artistic and free community programming in the year ahead.
